The signing of the agreement will see both companies collaborating on smart toys with AR and apps.
Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) and Wise Toys have announced a new multi-property merchandise agreement for three of Saban Brands Israel-owned Wise Toys’ smart toy lines that utilise augmented reality (AR) – Wise Pet, an augmented reality colouring and activity book, as well as an AR Activity Box Set. The first products are expected to hit shelves in Q1 of 2018, in multiple markets worldwide (excluding US territories) simultaneously.

The Wise Pet collection will include Paw Patrol, Shimmer and Shine, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Blaze and the Monster Machines characters. The Wise Pet is a soft toy that doubles as a smartphone and tablet protector designed especially for babies and kids that “comes to life” with a free app, which will also feature Nickelodeon content and activities.
Meanwhile, the Wise Toys AR colouring and activity books will include characters from Shimmer and Shine, SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Dora and Friends, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Blaze and the Monster Machines, and Nella the Princess Knight. The high-tech coloring books enable users to enhance their creativity by coloring, scanning and interacting with their favorite characters while using a unique augmented reality mobile application.
Wise Toys will also work to develop a unique AR Activity Box Set offering a variety of activities and interactive experiences with popular Nickelodeon characters.
