Ari Meisel is an entrepreneur, author, CEO, TED speaker, real estate developer, green building consultant, and productivity expert. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business, he was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease while building his prpoerty development business in 2007.   Crohn’s is an incurable disease of the digestive tract. Ari’s case was severe, and required over a dozen daily medications and several hospital visits. After reaching a personal low point in hospital, Ari decided he would do everything in his power to strengthen his by then weak body. Through a combination of yoga, nutrition, natural supplements and rigorous exercise (Triathon and Crossfit) he was able to fight back the symptoms of Crohns until he was finally able to suspend his medication.   Eventually Ari was declared free of all traces of the ‘incurable’ disease, and competed in Ironman France in June of 2011. Ari has since spoken at seminars and at a regional TED Talk about his struggle against a seemingly insurmountable opponent. Through the process of data collection, self tracking, and analysis, Ari helped develop Less Doing. This was a way of dealing with the daily stresses of life by optimizing, automating, and outsourcing all of his tasks in life and business.   Expect to learn some transformation things in this episode, including: Why business founders should make themselves replaceable Ari’s proprietary productivity framework, OAO; and One single word that can open you up to 10Xing your productivity and giving you more time for life   Topics Discussed: Ari’s fight with Crohn’s Why you should optimise, automate and outsource your life The one word that will change your life Ari’s books Why being busy is no badge of honour Ari’s 3D decision matrix The value of asynchronous communication Ari’s favourite biohacks and supplements How Ari uses machine learning to help him qualify prospects   Ari’s business, Less Doing: http://www.lessdoing.com Twitter: @arimeisel Ari’s books: https://www.amazon.com/Ari-Meisel/e/B003BWZ3QA/ref=dp_byline_cont_book_1    Books: Art of Less Doing The Replaceable Founder Idea to Execution Less Doing, More Living Intro to Biohacking     — Employee to Entrepreneur podcast on Apple Podcasts: bit.ly/employeetoentrepreneurpodcast  Listen to Future Squared on Apple Podcasts @ goo.gl/sMnEa0   Also available on: Spotify, Google Podcasts, TuneIn, Stitcher and Soundcloud  Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/steveglaveski  Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/@thesteveglaveski   Future Squared: http://www.futuresquared.xyz   Steve Glaveski: http://www.steveglaveski.com   Medium: http://www.medium.com/@steveglaveski   NEW Facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/groups/futuresquared/
